Holdings: 202,000 volumes; 1,400 periodicals

Founded in 1871 with the gift of the personal architecture library of Cornell’s first president, the Fine Arts Library—one of the larger academic art and architecture libraries in the country—is the main source on campus for books, journals, CD's, DVD's and videos on the visual arts, architecture, and city and regional planning. The emphasis of the collections is on the cultures of the West; visual arts materials on East Asia and Southeast Asia are in the Wason and Echols collections in Kroch Library.
