Print, Save, and E-mail Catalog Records
To print or save records from the online catalog: (If you only have
one item displayed, start at step 3):
- After you have run a search and a search results screen is displayed, mark
the record(s) you are interested in by clicking in the box to the left of
the record. A checkmark displays. Before you move to the next page, make sure
to click on the Retain Searches button at the bottom of the screen
in order to preserve the records you have already marked on that screen.
- Click Selected on Page or Selected all Pages in the Record
Options section or select All on Page if you would like to select
all records.
- Select the format in which you want to print/save the record(s): Brief View,
Long View, or Raw MARC.
- Click on Format for Save/Print. Your records will appear in
a new window. You can edit the text in the new window before step 5.
- Select print or save from the file menu.
To e-mail records (If you only have one item displayed, start at step 3):
- After you have run a search and a search results screen is displayed, mark
the record(s) you are interested in by clicking in the box to the left of
the record. A checkmark displays. Before you move to the next page, make sure
to click on the Retain Searches button at the bottom of the screen
in order to preserve the records you have already marked on that screen.
- Go to the Record Options box at the bottom of the page and click
Selected on Page (for records selected on one page), Selected all
Pages (for records selected on multiple pages), or select All
on Page if you would like to select all the records on the page.
- Next to "Select Download Format," select the format in which you
want the record(s) to be sent via e-mail: Brief View, Long View, or Raw MARC.
- Type your complete e-mail address (xx99@cornell.edu) into the box
labeled Enter your e-mail address.
- Click on the Email button.
- The message "Your Email was sent correctly" will appear. The e-mail
will be from "Voyager Owner."
NOTE: You must type in your entire e-mail
address (xx99@cornell.edu) If you type in an incorrect or incomplete
e-mail address, you will still see the message, "Your Email was
sent correctly."
