Browsers: Compatibility with the Library Gateway and its resources

Many different browsers are available, and the Library Gateway's resources should work with the majority of them. If you are having trouble, you should rule out browser incompatibility by attempting access with a recent version of Internet Explorer or Firefox. (Note that Internet Explorer is not recommended for Mac and is no longer being updated by Microsoft.)

Other common browsers which work with most resources include Safari, Opera, and Netscape.

Browsers: Identifying
With your browser open to any page, go to the top menu bar and click on Help, then choose About. For troubleshooting purposes it may help to know the specific version number of the browser you're using.

Browsers: Known Problems
Some resources don't work properly with some browsers. If you have trouble with a specific resource, please submit a Problem Connecting form so we can add the resource to our list.
