Physical course reserves are course materials (books, DVDs, etc.) that are held in the library to promote equal access to course materials throughout the semester. Reserve materials are selected by instructors and can be self-serve or have very short loan periods (usually only a couple of hours). Materials placed on course reserve will be listed as such in the library catalog and will be unavailable to request for pickup for as long as they are considered to be on reserve.
Instructors may also place items on digital course reserves which can be accessed by students through their Canvas course’s Library Reserves section.
